To support our explosive growth, we are looking for strong bioinformatics/computational biology programmers and scientists to join our team of seasoned drug hunters.
Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this role has a proven track record of success in analyzing Next Generation Sequencing Data from various ‘omic types and running/maintaining bioinformatic workflows. This role will be responsible for the maintenance and expansion of our bioinformatics pipelines and tools, analyzing large-scale bioinformatics data sets, the design and analysis of omics experiments, and will participate in the biological interpretations of the corresponding results, and discovery of novel drug targets and biomarkers (i.e., pharmacodynamics, mechanism of actions, and drug response). This is an exceptional opportunity for a bright individual to apply bioinformatics approaches to industrial research and to work on a broad variety of drug discovery projects with multiple modalities and therapeutic areas. Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
Background experience & complementary knowledge

PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics or related discipline.

5-10 years of previous industry experience, with a focus on large-scale data analysis.

Strong knowledge of bioinformatics principles, including data mining, machine learning, and statistical analysis.

Expertise in Python and/or R programming languages and the linux/unix operating system, as well as in bioinformatics tools and software.\

Previous experience with developing bioinformatics pipelines/workflows.

Previous experience with workflow management systems (nextflow) and cloud environments (Google cloud, AWS, …)

Previous experience with code versioning systems (git preferred).

Previous experience with NGS data analysis required (single and bulk RNA sequencing, mutation analysis, copy number, RNA editing, …).

Experience with omics analysis using public datasets (GTEx, TCGA, Genie, DepMap).

Good communication skills (oral, written, presentations) required.

Good productivity, a strong work ethic and the ability to finish tasks on time are essential.
