Argus Athanas, Ph.D.
GWAS & Clinical Statistics Specialist
Argus Athanas is a multidisciplinary statistician, engineer, and bioinformatician. He received a dual B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering and Business management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. After several years of data driven marketing, sales, and business information consulting for the pharmaceutical industry, he returned to school to once again pursue science. Argus earned a PhD. in Bioinformatics and Systems Biology with a specialization in Biomedical Informatics at the University of San Diego California in 2020 where he received a NIH grant for his training. His work focused on building longitudinal predictive models for improving patient care and construction of rapid learning systems. Argus specializes in statistics, machine learning, and relating these concepts to real world clinical data.
